Our club as we know it today has undergone many changes, both of name and venue, since it started in 1949 – at least that is the first recorded in archived club minutes.
According to these club minutes, the first meeting of this club, then known as the Old Age and Invalid Pensioners Association, was held at St John’s Hall, Baylis Street, January 17th, 1949.
